General Amidror served with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for 32 years, garnering much experience and knowledge regarding international policy, particularly with reference to the Middle East, but also concerning the USA and Europe. He currently serves as vice president of Lander College in Jerusalem. During his long military career, Amidror held the following positions: Commander of IDF Military Colleges; Military Secretary for the Minister of Defense; Director of Intelligence Analysis, responsible for national intelligence evaluation; Head of largescale technology project for Intelligence Corps; Intelligence Officer for Northern Command. General Amidror received a Masters Degree in Political Science from the University of Haifa and various other degrees and certificates from IDF colleges. Since retiring from the armed forces, he has published "Reflections on Army and Security", a book containing several articles on the subject of national security. He also served as Senior Research Fellow to the Institute for Middle East Research in Washington in 2002.
