|JERUSALEM SUMMIT ASIA-IV, JAPAN: focus world attention on persecution of Christians in Asia|

The fourth annual Jerusalem Summit Asia in Japan has commenced on Monday, August 6th. The Israeli delegation was represented by the Chairman of the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus, Member of Knesset Benyamin Elon, as well as Member of Knesset and caucus member Gideon Sa`ar. Israel's Minister of Tourism, Yitzhak Aharonovitch also attended as did a delegation Israeli academics. Representing The Jerusalem Summit were its Executive Director, Dr. Dmitry Radyshevsky and its Academic Director, Dr. Martin Sherman.

The conference hoped to establish a cooperative working relationship in support of Israel, and a commitment by Christian politicians and spiritual leaders to play an active role in petitioning their governments from inside and out to support the State of Israel in the international arena.
The Summit in Tokyo has also focused on the plight of persecuted Christians in Malaysia and Indonesia, and outlined the Joint Diplomatic Strategy of the Free World in Fighting Gender and Creed Apartheid (http://jerusalemsummit.org/eng/diplomatic_strategy.php) perpetrated by radical Islam.

The conference opened at the Kensei Kinen Kan (Parliament Museum Hall) with welcoming remarks delivered by Jerusalem Summit IV Japan Chairman, Dr. Minoru Okuyama. Other key Japanese representatives included House of Representatives Members Ryuichi Doi and Yukihisa Fujita. Member's of Parliament from four other Asian countries attended the conference.
The Israeli delegation was co-sponsored and organized by the Israel-based Filipino ministry of Jerusalem East Gate Foundation.
